AI PR review tools compared: reviewer bots and review records
CodeRabbit, GitHub Copilot code review and Claude Code Review read a pull request and leave comments on it. AdaptOrch does a different job. It keeps a record of what a coding agent ran and which checks were available, so the person reviewing the change can see it.
§ 01
What each kind of tool does
A reviewer bot looks at the diff in a pull request and writes comments: possible problems, suggested changes, a summary. It works on the code as it stands when the review runs.
A review record looks at the work that produced the change. When a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex CLI or Cursor makes the change, the record shows what ran, which checks were available and what still needs a human to look at. AdaptOrch is this second kind. It is not another agent that writes code, and it is not a reviewer bot.

Where AdaptOrch fits
AdaptOrch is a hosted review layer for AI coding agents. It records what an agent ran, which checks were available and what still needs human review. It sits next to code review and CI. It does not replace them, and it does not prove a change is correct.
You connect Claude Code, Codex CLI or Cursor through the hosted MCP server at https://adaptorch.com/mcp, or call the API directly. See the setup guides and the MCP docs.
The hosted text template reads the text you give it: the change explanation, your goal and the checks you already have. It returns a summary, the information that is missing and questions for the reviewer. It does not inspect code. Running checks against a repository needs a separately configured execution environment, offered as a proof of concept. Shared hosted command verification is off by default.
Starter is free with 50 admitted runs a month. Pro is $39 a month with 500 runs and 5 workspace users. Team is $149 a month with 2,500 runs and 15 workspace users. Model usage is billed by your own provider through your own key. Prices from the pricing section, checked 2026-10-28.
§ 04
Using a reviewer bot and AdaptOrch together
The two fit at different points in the same change:
- A coding agent makes the change, and AdaptOrch keeps the run record.
- The change goes up as a pull request.
- A reviewer bot comments on the diff.
- A person reads both the comments and the run record, then decides whether to merge.
For that last step, the AI PR review guide lists the questions worth asking: did the patch apply through the intended harness, what diff was actually realized, did the runner fail or did the candidate fail, and what evidence supports the change.
§ 05
What none of these prove
GitHub says Copilot is not guaranteed to spot every problem in a pull request (source, checked 2026-10-28). Anthropic says a Claude Code Review with no findings doesn't mean the code is error-free or secure (source, checked 2026-10-28).
The same goes for AdaptOrch. A run record shows what happened. It is not a test pass unless a test actually ran, and it is not proof of correctness. Our claim boundary spells out what we do and don't claim.

FAQ
Q.01Is AdaptOrch a replacement for CodeRabbit, Copilot code review or Claude Code Review?
No. Those tools read a pull request and comment on it. AdaptOrch keeps a record of what a coding agent ran and which checks were available, so the person reviewing has more to go on. A team can use a reviewer bot and AdaptOrch on the same change.
Q.02Does AdaptOrch comment on my pull requests?
No. It returns run records, a summary, missing information and review questions through MCP or the API. It does not post review comments on a pull request.
Q.03Does a clean review from a bot mean the change is correct?
No. GitHub and Anthropic both say their review tools can miss problems. AdaptOrch does not prove correctness either. A person still makes the merge decision.
